Background PI ranks high in all categories except help/support, but that doesn't mean you should steer clear of it.  Their detailed "Guarantee" page should be enough incentive for you to go to them with your background checking needs.  Three sites on our background check services list offer the "No Hit - No Fee" guarantee, and Background PI is one of them.  This guarantee is important because public records can often be filled with clerical errors.  Taking the extra step to ensure their potential customers are satisfied makes all the difference.

Their site has a simple, engaging design which eliminates all the different ways you could get lost in your pursuit of a background check report.  Again, as with IntegraScan before it, the site could be a little more elaborate with more features added, but it's fine how it is.  You're going to be able to get your report in a timely manner, and not get lost while doing it.  That's all that matters.

The searches Background PI has available are the basic ones associated with background checks in general.  You're not given a long list of features like you are with eFindOutTheTruth, but you are given a "back to basics" approach reminiscent of Intelius.  As the old saying goes, sometimes less is more.

The information they provide is excellent, and even if it isn't, you're not going to be charged until it is.  If you can never get the report you want, you don't have to pay Background PI a dime.  That alone makes their reports worthwhile.

Background PI's customer support area comes with a lot of bells and whistles, but falls short in the end.  You're given the option to call or email them, or talk to one of their representatives in a live chat.  All of the options they present come with long wait times though.  After waiting for what seems like forever, minor problems no longer seem worth it.

Background PI is perfect for basic background checks.  They are specialized in that area, and do what they do best better than most background check services out there.
